ONE MONTH OLD!!

Dominic is officially (as of today-because of the delayed post) one month and one day old! Louie & I both agree this has been the fastest (and BEST) month of our lives!!

He's 4 weeks old today!! But I won't post a "bear picture" til Saturday when he is officially one month old!

One Month Check Up!

Today we took Dominic for his one month check up. Once again, Lou & I bet on what we thought Dom weighed..(He was 8 lbs 1 oz two weeks ago)

Brooke: 8 lbs 10 oz
Lou: 8 lbs 12 oz

Dominic weighed in at 9 lbs 1.3 oz. That means he's gained two pounds in less than a month!! (He won't officially be a month old til Saturday) He also is 20 1/2 inches long--he grew an inch! And his head is one centimeter larger than at birth. Dr.Flask was VERY happy with how he is progressing--especially his weight!

I asked the doctor about his eye color and she confirmed that she'd bet his eyes will stay BLUE! (I always wanted dark hair and blue eyes! haha) Dr.Flask explained that usually when a baby is going to have darker eyes, they are born with grey eyes and Dom's look like little blueberries!


Our next appointment is January 12th--his TWO month check-up. <---where he'll be given shots! :o(

DT's first "Ba Ba"

Dominic tried his first bottle last night. We read that Louie should give the first bottle (and a few after) so that Dominic doesn't get confused. We were nervous that he wouldn't take it and we'd (or just Brooke) would be stuck at home forever! Both Louie & Dominic did a great job!!! It looks like Mommy & Daddy will be going to the Lattea Christmas party next Saturday! :o) We'll just cross our fingers that Dom is a good boy for his Grandma!

Three weeks old

I probably sound like a broken record but, he's getting so big soo quickly!! I can't believe how much he's changed in three weeks!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

We started decorating for Christmas last weekend, we aren't quite finished yet-but I think we got a good start! Louie's sister, Anna (Dominic's Godmother), made him his "D" stocking-*Thanks Anna!* We also added a Christmas tree to our bedroom (it's better than a nightlight!) and we are adding ornaments that are meaningful to us! I love this time of year!! :o)

Dominic's first photo shoot!

Here are some of the proofs from the photo session we had done a week ago today. He's changed SO much in a week! I love these pictures though-I think he looks like an Anne Geddes baby! :o) We are planning on having his pictures taken again at one month (which is NEXT Saturday!! EEk!) I didn't add the birth announcement proof because..well..it's a surprise!
