Once again, Kelly's Korner blog is hosting the "Show us where you live" Friday! Today's featured room is the "Living Room." Our living room is where we spend most of our time. We love how open it is and the high ceilings (that I mentioned in the kitchen post). I hope you enjoy another sneak peek into our home! Looking in from the kitchen-we painted the accent wall a warm, yellow-you can also see the window & curtain rod. We haven't quite decided on a window treatment yet. Any ideas?
Another view, we cleaned up to take the pictures--the floor is usually covered with Dominic's toys & books

View of the breakfast bar and looking into the kitchen. I love this aspect because it allows me to hollar in to Lou from the kitchen! hah! Also, Dom's jumper doesn't stay there-just stored.
We recently bought new sofas. They are HUGE and took a lot of space away from the room--but they are seriously the most comfortable couches EVER!
View of the breakfast bar & buffet
Our giant sofa (101 inches long) that takes up the entire wall!
I love this frame. We got it as a wedding gift. We decided to put "fun" pictures of us in it. From left to right you can see 1. Us in Vegas 2. At the BCS National Championship in Glendale, AZ (Go Bucks!) 3. At a Cleveland Browns Game *my first!* 4. On the plane on our way to Jamaica for our honeymoon--we upgraded to 1st class and loved the tiny bottles of Bacardi! 5. Us enjoying the sun on our honeymoon. I love to look at this frame--brings back so many memories and Dominic loves it as well, he laughs & smiles when he sees "Old" Mom & Dad!
We got this piece in Jamaica
The leather magazine tote that now holds Dominic's toys
It took us forever to find some art for our walls. We found these at Target, I love that store!
This is one of my favorite pictures in our house. Our development was built on the old shipyards in Lorain. Lou found this picture of the shipyards before Harborwalk was built. It's so neat to look at it before we were here!

I love the yellow wall. It's so bright and cheery. You have some of the same decor as me - toys. Isn't it fun?
Love the big couches!! Your living room looks so comfortable and homey - I really like it.
cute house! Love the couches! :)
I love your artwork on the walls. Especially the piece over the fireplace. Lovely!
You have a very nice living room. The colors go so well together. The burgundy that is in the pictures and pillows on the couch would be a great color for curtains to bring it out even more. Debbie
Love your room! We have similar tastes and I love your blog! You do a great job decorating and I love the pictures!
I love that magazine holder filled with baby toys and love the lighting above your fireplace.
I love your colors. Very nice.
I really like your yellow wall, too. Your house looks so warm and welcoming.
Very nice! We have the same couches!!! We also have the same baby jumper. ;)
Blessings,
Crystal (heart mom)
I love yellow - my room is yellow too.
that's really neat about the old picture of where your development was built!! i love stuff like that.
I love the piece above your mantle!
Cute, cute living room! And your baby is precious! :o)
I love your room! :-) Big brown couches sound heavenly - I wish we had got brown couches to mask the dirt we keep getting all over them! :-) your room is so cute!
I love the yellow wall and then the blue wall looking into the kitchen. Makes me want to paint!!
My brother and sister in law have a peice on their coffee table similar to yours with balls in it. My daughter LOVES them and we have to hide them from her because she tried to eat them!! :)
I love your piece above the fireplace! Beautiful!
Your home is gorgeous!!
I LOVE the sofas. We're currently on the hunt for new ones that are nice looking and still comfortable.
I love the yellow wall! :) So fun and the couches look so comfy too. Sorry was creeping around from Kellys blog :)
That "before we lived here" picture is so cool! I love things like that. Cute house - we do the same thing hiding baby toys everywhere!
Great space! I love the accent wall & the piece over the fireplace. Its such a cozy home! I really like the old photo of the area, very meaningful & historical!
Love the blue (it is a light blue, right?) and yellow walls. Color in a house is so nice!
I agree about the curtains - something with dark red in them. And I would continue the yellow walls either on the other lr wall, or on that divided wall/below the bar in the kitchen. That space could use some more color. Cute house!
We used to have a huge sofa. It took up too much room so we got rid of it. I still miss it.
Window treatments....how about something that repeats the theme in the sconce over the fire place? Since you like it (and it's beautiful!) it would be a great way to go.
love the living room pics!! so cute!!
